LUFTHANSA Cargo reported a 15 per cent increase in operating profit for 2024, reaching US$272 million, driven by innovative e-commerce solutions, flexible network planning, and capacity expansion, reports Mumbai's Stat Trade Times.
The fourth quarter alone contributed $215 million, its strongest Q4 performance outside the Covid crisis.
According to an official release, revenue grew ten per cent to $3.54 billion from $3.23 billion the previous year.
In 2024, lufthansa Cargo offered 13.7 billion freight tonne-kilometres, a nine per cent increase year on year.
Sales rose 14 per cent to 8.5 billion freight tonne-kilometrers, while the average load factor improved 2.7 per centage points to 61.9 per cent, compared to 59.2 per cent in the previous year.
