Le Havre fetes the pride of France - 16,020-TEU CMA CGM Jules Verne
THE Port of Le Havre's Terminal de France has received for the first time the 16,020-TEU CMA CGM Jules Verne, the world' largest French-flagged containership, which is deployed on the French Asia Line (FAL1) service that links Northern Europe to Asia.
Le Havre is one of a very small number of ports in northern Europe capable of handling a ship of this size. It is 396 metres lond and 54 metres wide.
The CMA CGM Jules Verne was carrying 12,315 TEU, and 70 per cent of the shipments loaded in Le Havre came from other European countries.
