SINGAPORE's Changi Airport Group (CAG), the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Enterprise Singapore and Workforce Singapore are collectively seeking CEIV Fresh accreditation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), an initiative that industry body launched this March.
With the certification, these members of the air cargo community aim to strengthen Changi airport's perishable cargo-handling capabilities so that shippers will use the airport as their preferred hub for time- and temperature-sensitive shipments, reported London's Air Cargo News.
The pursuit of CEIV Fresh certification demonstrates the Singapore air cargo community's commitment to being the preferred cold chain hub in the region, through the continuous improvement of its cargo-handling capabilities.
