HONG KONG Air Cargo has launched a chartered freighter service between hong Kong and Sydney, Australia, reports London's Air Cargo News.
The first flight departed Hong Kong International Airport on December 8 at 11.30 pm and arrived in Sydney on December 9.
The Airbus A330-200F will operate between Hong Kong and Sydney three times a week.
In 2021, Hong Kong Air Cargo received approval to operate flights to nine new destinations, with Sydney being one of them.
The new service will allow customers to streamline cargo consignments originating from the airline's current route network and Hong Kong to Australia
'We will continue to expand our route network and improve our service to serve our customers,' said Hong Kong Air Cargo director William Chan.
'As the global market recovers from the pandemic, it is important for us to focus on what we do well and respond to our customer's needs whilst ensuring that we strengthen Hong Kong's position as the international cargo hub.'
