HAPAG-LLOYD has announced that it will be one of the vessel operators on the new North East Asia Australia Express (NAX) service.

The port rotation of the NAX service is: Busan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, returning to Busan.



The carrier said in a statement that it is joining the NAX service to 'provide more competitive transit times and better port coverage'.



The transit time southbound from Busan to Sydney is 21 days, and 24 days to Melbourne and 28 days to Brisbane. The southbound transit time from Yantian to Sydney is 11 days, and 14 days to Melbourne and 18 days to Brisbane.



The northbound transit time from Sydney to Busan is 19 days, and 21 days to Qingdao, 23 days to Ningbo, 25 days to Shanghai and 29 days to Yantian.



The new NAX service is scheduled to commence on November 25 from Busan with the sailing of the SC MARA, voyage number: 072S.
