    The 'San Ratulangi' which on Aug 27 had drifted ashore seven off Thongwa in the Gulf of Mataban, Myanmar, being under tow to a shipbreaking yard, sank on Oct 3. The wreck was resting on the bottom with a list to starboard side and part of the accomodation block and the hull still showing above the water. The maritime Authorities ordered a wreck removal from shipowner. The ship had been sold to PT Mandara Putra Bajatama and then re-sold to SMIT Salvage Singapore to be dismantled at a Bangladesh shibreaking yard.
