A maritime accident off the coast of Singapore resulted in terrifying moments. The Panama-flagged cargo ship 'First Margaux' collided with the Chinese fishing vessel 'Lu Qing Yuan Yu 108.' The moment of the accident was recorded second by second by a mobile phone camera on the fishing vessel.
The accident occurred in an area with heavy maritime traffic off the coast of Singapore. Initial investigations and maritime traffic analyses indicate that while 'First Margaux' was proceeding in its navigation lane, it was observed that the Singapore-flagged oil tanker 'Gas Iris' was entering the area from the starboard side.
While the cargo ship was trying to maintain distance from the other vessel, it was alleged that the Chinese fishing vessel had also entered its navigation lane, leading to the collision of the ships.
Maritime authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, and data from the Automatic Identification System (AIS) in the area is also being examined. There has not yet been an official statement regarding whether there were any injuries following the accident. Investigations are ongoing to assess the extent of the damage to the vessels.
