In the evening of Jan 4, 2017, the "Os Xuxos" suffered engine failure off Camariñas. The rudderless ship was threatened to drift onto the shore. The "Salvamar Altair" (MMSI: 224013350) of the Salvamento Maritimo-station Camariñas was called to assist and pulled the vessel safely to the port.
