FINNAIR has appointed Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to provide cargo warehouse handling at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in France.
The logistics specialist and ground handler will also support the airline with domestic trucking services and cargo reception points across France, reports London's Air Cargo News.
finnair operates 28 wide- and narrow-bodied passenger flights per week, connecting Paris with Helsinki, Finland.
In addition to general cargo, WFS' full service offering for Finnair in France will support the airline's shipments of temperature-sensitive pharma cargo, perishables and frozen shipments, valuable and vulnerable products and dangerous goods.
Laurent Bernard, vice president cargo France at WFS, said: 'We look forward to supporting the growth and quality of Finnair's cargo services on this important route between Helsinki and Paris, and its ability to provide a solution covering the whole of France.'
WFS recently announced it will use 3D modelling software to build ULD's more efficiently and optimize cargo capacity.
