A TECHNICAL fault forced an emergency landing by a FedEx Express freighter at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bangalore on a flight from Dubai.
The emergency landing led to the single runway being closed last Thursday from 8.34pm to 8.54pm, delaying seven departures and eight arrivals, according to KIA operator, Bangalore International Airport Ltd.
The cascading effect of this suspension disrupted the schedules of several flights past midnight. It also disrupted affected flight arrivals from Delhi, Kochi, Mangaluru and Pune, keeping hundreds of passengers waiting at the originating airports for hours, reported Dubai's Logistics Middle East.
