As a founding member of Duman Denizcilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., he played a key role in shaping the country’s maritime operations. In 1994, he established Duman Gemicilik ve Ticaret A.Ş., which became a renowned name in ship management and international shipping services.From 2004 to 2012, he served as the President of the Turkish Shipowners and Agents Association (VDA). In 2012, he took on the role of Chairman of the VDA Advisory Board, continuing his advocacy for the maritime sector. Known for his innovative approach and problem-solving capabilities, Duman was a true champion of Turkish shipping, addressing complex industry challenges with integrity and determination.
