TWO major container lines Ocean Network Express (ONE) and cosco Shipping Lines have announced changes in their intra-Middle East/Indian Subcontinent service networks.
Towards the end of October, ONE will enhance its offerings by incorporating slots from Global Feeder Shipping's Colombo China Gulf service.
Meanwhile, C0SCO announced the launch of OUX service, according to Greece's Container News.
The services are set to fortify shipping links within the Gulf-India region, reflecting companies' commitment to enhancing regional trade flows and port accessibility.
ONE's collaboration will feature four vessels averaging 3,100 TEU each. The Singapore-headquartered ocean carrier will call the service India Coastal Express.
The route will include stops at Mundra, Pipavav, Mangalore, Kochi, Colombo, Kattupalli, Visakhapatnam, Kattupalli, Colombo, Kochi, Mangalore, and finally back to Mundra, ensuring extensive connectivity along India's coastline and key Gulf ports.
Additionally, COSCO will commence OUX service, according to Alphaliners, calling at Abu Dhabi, Sohar, and Ajman, before circling back to Abu Dhabi. The OUX service will have a weekly frequency and will be operated by one 1,000 TEU boxship.
