Concordia Maritime has taken delivery of the 65,200 DWT product tanker Stena Penguin, she will now enter into a 3-year charter for ST Shipping. The vessel is the ninth vessel in a series of ten tankers in the so called P-MAX series ordered from the Croatian shipyard Brodosplit. Stena Penguin is the second vessel in the series with ice class 1A.

The two sister P-MAX tankers Stena Polaris, which was delivered in February this year, and Stena Premium, which is set for delivery in the beginning of 2011, have also been signed to 3-year charters with ST Shipping.
The P-MAX tankers are 183 metres long, 40 metres wide and have a draft (design) of 11.3 metres.
Concordia Maritime is an international tanker shipping company listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm. The company has a newbuilding program comprising ten tankers, which are being built in accordance with the MAX concept. Six of these tankers have been delivered. These vessels, P-MAX, are product tankers of about 65,200 DWT. The MAX concept means that the vessels are designed for maximum loading capacity in shallow waters.
