On June 12, 2018, at 04.23, the 14 'Rahona' collided with the container m/v 'Mumbai Maersk' 65 nautical miles west of La Hague. The skipper, who ws alone aboard the boat, informed the the CROSS Jobourg that he had not been injured and that his boat was sound. He required no assistance and was heading to the port of Chantereyne, Cherbourg. His course was regularly followed up by the CROSS Jobourg until the arrival in Cherbourg on June 13 at 2.36 a.m. There was a north-east wind of 15 knots on scene. The 'Mumbai Maersk' was enroute from Tanger Med to Bremerhaven with a crew of 26 on board at the time of the incident, ETA June 13.
