FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced revised Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) covering different trade lanes to Nigeria at different times in September.
First, there is a US$600 per container peak season surcharge applicable Apapa and Tin Can, Nigeria, effective September 10 affecting dry cargo, reefer, OOG and breakbulk.
This follows the September 1 revised surcharge of $750, EUR660 and GBP575 per container of dry cargo, reefer, OOG and breakbulk to Apapa and Tin Can from Europe and Mediterranean ports.
This matches another September 1 surcharge of US$750 per container for cargo from Asia, ISC (International Security Consultancy) and Gulf, Canada, South America, Africa to Apapa and Tin Can, Nigeria.
