THIS year CMA CGM is celebrating its 40th anniversary and to mark this milestone the group has created a special anniversary logo to reflect its values and history. The French shipping giant is also launching a series of global projects that will depict the group's development since its creation in 1978.
The various elements of the logo recall: the maritime reference, the heart of the group's activity, and its development in logistics; past and present with the historic logo of 1978, the current logo and the CMA CGM Tower, its headquarters in Marseilles (France); its international dimension, in particular its historical ties with China; the future with digitalisation, a reference to the Shipping The Future strategy implemented by chairman Rodolphe Saade.
Its programme of worldwide projects that will be held throughout 2018 for both its employees and the public include an interactive and digital museum linking its past with the future; a film and an illustrated book tracing the history of the group; the inauguration of the largest containership flying the French flag; and specific events in CMA CGM offices around the world.
