FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM is revising its Asia port rotations for its ASAF and WAF strings, serving southern and West Africa ports.
As a result, the ASAF, a weekly direct line to Angola, Congo and Namibia, will deploy thirteen 5,700-TEU vessels from August 9.
Two ports in north China have been added to the new rotation to call at Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Guangzhou-Nansha, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Walvis Bay, Pointe Noire, Luanda, Cape Town, Port Kelang and back Xingang.
The WAF is a weekly direct service to Nigeria, Cameroon and Cote d'Ivoire. The new rotation is Cape Town, Lagos-Tin Can, Douala, Abidjan, Pointe Noire, Colombo, Port Kelang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Guangzhou-Nansha, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang.
The changes will take effect August 15 with the first sailing from Shanghai.
