CHINA's BYD, second to Tesla in electric car sales, plans to move into European markets with a gala debut in four years at the Paris Motor Show, reports Tokyo's Nikkei Asia.
By bringing its products and innovation to Europe, BYD hopes to become the 'global leaders' in EVs, said BYD European managing director Michael Shu.
BYD will release its first EVs in Germany by the end of the year, and then into France and Britain in 2023, planning to export from China with contingency plans to establish production capabilities in Thailand.
