CHINESE factory output slowed to its weakest growth on record early this year, indicating weaker domestic demand, according to London's Financial Times.
Factory output rose 5.3 per cent year on year in the period compared with a 5.7 per cent rise in December, the weakest reading since that data series began in 1995.
China's statistics bureau publishes January and February together to remove distortions resulting from the timing of Chinese New Year. Trade data also showed Chinese exports declining by the most in three years.
