CONTAINER traffic between Taiwan and China totalled 2,492,372 TEU in 2019, down 2.86 per cent year on year, according to statistics compiled by Taiwan's Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC).
Kaohsiung and Keelung, two of the main four ports in Taiwan, suffered negative growth, handling 1,216,145 TEU, down 8.54 per cent, and 593,765 TEU, down 0.05 per cent, respectively, reported containernews.com.
