HONG KONG-based Cathay Pacific says the frequency of its upcoming non-stop service to Seattle, the biggest city in the US state of Washington, will be ramped up to turn it into a daily service from summer 2019.
To be launched on March 31 next year as a four-times-weekly operation, the airline is upping the frequency from July 1 to daily to meet thriving demand given that it will be the only direct connection between Hong Kong and the west coast city.
Starting from July, the additional services are scheduled to depart from Hong Kong on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, returning the following day from Seattle.
Flown by the airline's Airbus A350-900 aircraft, the Seattle route is the carrier's eighth to the United States and follows existing services to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York (JFK), New York (Newark), San Francisco and Washington DC.
