CARRIBEAN Airlines Cargo has inked a new interline agreement with Air Canada, enabling it to facilitate shipments from hubs such as Port-of-Spain, Barbados, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, to the major Canadian hubs of Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
The carrier also has interline agreements with Alaska Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Copa Airlines, Lufthansa, Norwegian Cargo and Saudi Cargo. These agreements let the Caribbean Airlines Cargo offer priority shipping at affordable rates globally, reported London's Air Cargo News.
Caribbean Airlines Cargo currently provides direct cargo services to 80 per cent of the Caribbean islands, through its all-cargo freighter service and network of passenger flights.
It mainly flies general cargo, live animals, perishables, human remains, dangerous goods, valuable cargo and diplomatic documents. The carrier also serves the oil and gas industry by transporting large and oversized time-sensitive items.
