CALIFORNIA hub Ontario International Airport (ONT) has continued to record positive growth in air cargo volume as well as passenger numbers.
According to the data compiled by the Ontario International Airport Authority (OI), the airport recorded double-digit growth in cargo volume in April, increasing 11 per cent to more than 61,800 tonnes compared to the same month last year.
Over the first four months of the year, cargo shipments totalled more than 233,500 tonnes, 3.4 per cent higher than the same period in 2018.
Passenger volume climbed by nearly 7 per cent in April with almost 445,000 airline passengers travelling through the airport last month.
From January through April, ONT welcomed more than 1.6 million arriving and departing passengers, 5.2 per cent more than the same four-month period in 2018, reports Mumbai's The STAT Trade Times.
