THE CC Central and Southern Regional Administration has approved the business establishment of Zhongzhou Airlines that will have a registered capital of CNY600 million (US$89.3 million) to operate domestic China and international flights using a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. Forty per cent of the carrier that will be based at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport will be held by Henan Zhongzhou Tengfei International Freight Forwarding and 30 per cent each by directors Zhan Yang and Song Shengli.
The fledgling airline has so far employed six captains, eight co-pilots, four licensed dispatchers, and agreed to a transfer intention with three other captains and 11 crew members.
