Upon the arrival at Yuzhny on Apr 4, 2018, the 'Seabreeze' was arrested by Ukrainian Authorities, as a sister ship in the maritime lien against the offending ship, the dredger 'Pechora', owned and operated by the same owner, the Trans-Service Maritime Agency, Moscow. The 'Seabreeze' didn’t violate any regulations, arising from internationally imposed sanctions. The 'Peachora' was being actively engaged in illegal activities in Crimean waters, such as mining sand for construction purposes, including offending construction of Kerch Strait Bridge, and illegal construction works in Sevastopol. She was mining sand in Crimean waters, including conservation area around the Swan islands since 2014. The damages inflicted by illegal mining estimate to be millions of dollars.
