THE Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Limited (HAFFA) has re-elected Brian Wu of BEL International Logistics Limited as chairman for a second two-year term at its recent 2019 annual general meeting.
Since 2011 the term of each HAFFA executive committee has been extended to two years to provide greater continuity in achieving the Association's vision, goals and policy implementation. The re-election of Mr Wu as chairman for a second, two-year term will ensure the association is able to continue its wide-range of initiatives uninterrupted, HAFFA said in a statement.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Wu said: 'We have achieved a great deal over the course of the last 24 months, but it is important we maintain this momentum. I look forward to working closely with the executive committee and the wider HAFFA membership not only to strengthen the competitiveness of our industry, but also to continue the association's proactive approach towards steering a clear path through the multitude of challenges we face.
'Challenges bring opportunities and I am confident that together, as a strong, united industry association, Hong Kong will remain at the forefront of the global logistics industry.'
At the annual general meeting, a new HAFFA executive committee was also elected at the AGM.
