THE Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has experienced its best February on record, moving almost 760,000 TEU, an increase of nearly 30 per cent compared to February 2019.
The Port Authority has reported a total of 759,248 TEU in February 2022, which set a new record high in any month of February in the seaport's history.
Cargo volumes were almost unchanged compared to January 2022, when the port handled 765,050 TEU.
The news comes after record-setting cargo volumes reported last October, the highest amount of cargo volume moved in any month in its history, according to London's Port Technology International.
