Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko threatened to block the transit of EU goods following trading bloc sanctions on the country after it forced a Ryanair flight to land to arrest a blogger.
Some 380,000 TEU went by land via Belarus last year, a 30 per cent rise on the previous year.
