THE fourth edition of the Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference, Asia's largest conference for logistics and maritime services users and providers, will be held on November 18-19 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Speaking at the opening of the two-day conference will be Hong Kong Chief Executive CY Leung and the Secretary for Transport and Housing Anthony Cheung.
George Li Dongqi, group vice president of SF Express will speak on the latest logistics developments on the mainland.
Mark Williams, group research director, Braemar Shipping Services; Selena Yan, senior analyst, Clarksons; and Stavroula Betsakou, head of tanker research, ICAP Shipping Limited, will examine the outlook for the tanker and gas trades, and the key issues and challenges confronting the maritime industry.
Other issues to be raised at the event include staying ahead of consumer trends retail and FMCG; strategies for building a flexible supply chain for the electronics industry to cope with dynamic market demand; outlook for liner and dry bulk shipping; and new characteristics and trends in maritime arbitration in Asia Pacific.
Organisers are expecting 1,700 industry players from all over the world to attend with 80 exhibitors showcasing their services and software offerings.
Participants who register and fully pay the fee before September 26 will enjoy a 30 per cent early bird discount.
