The NCI service, PIL's existing North China-Indonesia offering, is set to undergo a significant upgrade. According to the carrier's published plans, the enhanced NCI is expected to commence its inaugural sailing from Qingdao on 8 November 2026, with coverage extending across China, Indonesia, and Singapore. PIL has further indicated that the upgraded service will address reefer cargo requirements - an addition that broadens the service's commercial scope. Shippers moving goods between northern China and Indonesia or Singapore are advised to confirm specific port rotations and space availability against the finalised schedule once officially published.
The second development sees the introduction of the new CSM service, with an inaugural sailing from Tianjin planned for 27 October 2026. As currently outlined, the route will connect key ports across both northern and southern China with Singapore and Malaysia's principal western gateway ports. Singapore will serve as a transshipment hub within this configuration, enabling cargo to connect onward through PIL's broader service network. The CSM service is positioned to reinforce direct intra-regional linkages between China, Singapore, and Malaysia - complementing existing offerings and strengthening PIL's overall coverage in this corridor.
The two initiatives carry separate timelines: the CSM service departs Tianjin on 27 October 2026, covering the China-Singapore-Malaysia direction, while the upgraded NCI commences its enhanced service from Qingdao on 8 November 2026, serving the China-Indonesia-Singapore corridor. Together, they represent both an optimisation of existing infrastructure and the addition of new capacity where demand warrants. PIL has noted that the above inaugural dates remain subject to adjustment based on operational conditions, and that all commercial arrangements - including port rotations, voyage details, cut-off times, and space allocation - should be verified against the carrier's final published schedules.
