The ceremony was held on May 8 at Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co (NACKS).
Ms. Cao Yanping, director of Fujian Yaohua Industrial Village Development Co, named the vessel and bestowed her blessings in the presence of guests and leaders.
With a maximum capacity of 24,168 TEU, OOCL Wisdom is the world's largest methanol dual-fuel container vessel. All main engines, auxiliary engines, and boilers are equipped with methanol dual-fuel systems. The ship integrates advanced energy-efficiency management, intelligent monitoring, and safety assurance systems.
CEO Tao Weidong stated that the delivery expands OOCL's fleet and sets a new benchmark in vessel technology. He added that the ship demonstrates OOCL's commitment to green and low-carbon development, digital intelligence, and sustainability.
Mr. Tao emphasized that the ongoing delivery of large, modern, and highly energy-efficient vessels, represented by OOCL Wisdom, will support fleet growth and performance upgrades. He noted that this will enable OOCL to build a greener, more efficient, and intelligent shipping network with broader coverage, providing secure, reliable, and sustainable logistics solutions for global trade.
