In the afternooon of June 22, 2018, an injured crew member of the 'Sea Passion' was medevaced in the vicinity of Maldonado Bay. The MRCC had informed the navy that the tanker had on board a crew member with a deep cut in a hand. The MRCC coordinated a medical radio consultation with the SAR guard who advised first aid to keep the crewman stable. The tanker was orderer to change its route to an anchorage area next to Maldonado Bay, where the ROU 'Vanguardia' took the man off.
