Construction has started in ITU Maritime Faculty campus renovation project

Within the scope of the project, which stands out with the motto "Those who love their school, come after us" by UZMAR Chairman of the Board of Directors Eng Noyan Altuğ, one of the graduates of ITU Maritime Faculty, school graduate business people undertook the construction of the campus. The first construction on the project has started and the work has begun.

First of all, the old dormitory and dining hall, which were determined not to be earthquake resistant, are being demolished. In the new complex, the demolition and master plans of which were undertaken by UZMAR, the construction of Block A will also be carried out by UZMAR.

Dean Prof. dr. Özcan Arslan: "Our school is preparing for the next 10 years"

For the new buildings to be built under the leadership of UZMAR and with the support of the maritime community, Faculty Dean Prof.Dr. Özcan Arslan said in a statement to SeaNews Turkey; "Our school is being renovated, parts that are no longer sufficient, such as the old boarding house, canteen, cafeteria and library, are being demolished. The demolition of the buildings was completely undertaken by UZMAR. Master plans were also prepared by UZMAR in line with the needs of the faculty. New buildings will be built in line with active needs. Our school is preparing for the next 10 years with the buildings to be built. We would like to thank Mr. Noyan Altuğ, UZMAR, who started to renovate our school with the statement "Let those who love their school come after us", and our community for their support. Captain Altay Altuğ Laboratory and Cafeteria Building, the construction of which was undertaken by UZMAR, which took action to completely renovate the campus with the slogan "Let the ones who love their school come after us", was also opened to the use of students last year.
