Cathay Pacific will restart freighter services to Riyadh in August, with passenger flights to Dubai and Riyadh resuming in September.
Cathay Pacific will resume freighter services to Riyadh on 1 August, with passenger flights to Dubai and four-times-weekly passenger flights to Riyadh restarting on 1 September, reported London's Air Cargo News.
The Hong Kong-based airline stated that it will reintroduce Cathay Cargo's freighter flights to Riyadh, while daily passenger flights to Dubai will also commence in September.
Cathay Pacific emphasized that it will continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East prior to the resumption dates. The carrier has not yet announced plans to restart its freighter operations to Dubai.
Operations to the region were suspended in March due to the outbreak of the US-Iran conflict. The airline indicated that the cancellations were made to provide passengers and cargo customers with greater certainty in their planning.
Cathay Pacific is among several non-Middle Eastern airlines restoring services. Turkish Airlines announced it will fully resume its Middle East passenger network this July, including flights to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Kuwait, and Bahrain, alongside frequency increases to Amman and Beirut.
