Air Charter Service's Q1 revenues soared 35% to US$380M, driven by robust cargo demand amid geopolitical tensions, reports Air Cargo News.

Air Charter Service reported a 35 per cent rise in first-quarter revenues to US$380 million, led by strong cargo demand, reports London's Air Cargo News.

The UK-based charter broker stated that overall charter volumes rose by 19 per cent year on year. Founder Chris Leach noted that cargo charters increased by more than 70 per cent, with revenue up by 41 per cent, boosted by supply chain disruptions stemming from the Iran conflict and port closures in Morocco.

The private jet division experienced a 13 per cent rise in flights and a 27 per cent increase in revenues, while group charters grew by 40 per cent in both flights and revenues, driven by demand from the Middle East. ACS Leasing also surpassed last year's revenue total within just three months due to large contracts.

Time Critical Services recorded a 52 per cent increase in contracts and a remarkable 101 per cent growth in revenue, with strong gains in onboard courier and next flight out sales under new leadership.

Leach cautioned that the outlook remains uncertain, citing geopolitical risks and the fallout from the Iran conflict. He stated that the industry faces its most unpredictable period since Covid, but ACS' global footprint and diverse portfolio leave it well placed to adapt.
