SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe dropped 0.5 per cent to US$815 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade also slipped 0.5 per cent to $798 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined 3.7 per cent week-over-week to $1,288 per FEU while those to the east coast fell 3.5 per cent to $2,625 per FEU.
