The inaugural Uzungöl Winter Festival runs from January 23-25, featuring music, traditional dances, and a parade in the scenic Trabzon region.
The '1st Uzungöl Winter Festival' began in the famous tourist center of Uzungöl, located 20 kilometers from the Çaykara district of Trabzon, between January 23-25.
On the first day of the festival, local and foreign visitors who came to Uzungöl enjoyed themselves by dancing the horon to music at the concert area. As part of the events, a parade walk was held along the designated route around the lake.
Participants dressed in traditional local costumes to reenact the Kalandar celebration. The colorful scenes that emerged during the parade walk, where torches were lit and folk songs and poems were sung, attracted the attention of citizens and tourists.
