ANKAŞ Pilot boat rescued 3 survivors whose boat was adrift off Yelkenkaya

On Saturday night, 03.09.2022, three people, who were on a boat that had a motor malfunction and drifted off the coast of Darıca, Yelkenkaya lighthouse, were rescued and brought ashore by the pilot boat crew of Anadolu Pilotage (ANKAŞ), the authorized pilotage agency of the Gulf of Izmit.

ANKAŞ Pilot boat rescued 3 survivors whose boat was adrift off Yelkenkaya

On Saturday night, 03.09.2022, three people, who were on a boat that had a motor malfunction and drifted off the coast of Darıca, Yelkenkaya lighthouse, were rescued and brought ashore by the pilot boat crew of Anadolu Pilotage (ANKAŞ), the authorized pilotage agency of the Gulf of Izmit.

There were no casualties in the rescue operation, in which the survivors' boats were also towed by the pilot boat.

The rescue operation, which lasted for 40 minutes, started when the a phone call given to the VTS Center. ANKAŞ Pilot Boat in the region was directed to the survivors by VTS.

ANKAŞ Pilot Boat departed at 20.30. The boat was reached at 20.40, the survivors and their boat were taken to the pier at 21:00.
