THE UK air cargo drone market could be boosted by a new investment secured from London start-up Urban-Air Port Ltd (UAP), reports London's Air Cargo News.
UAP declared it has secured funding from Supernal, the urban air mobility division of Hyundai Motor Group, that will help develop 200 vertiport sites across the globe in the next five years.
UAP's vertiport sites will provide essential infrastructure to help enable mass adoption of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft as public acceptance of these grows.
Air-One, The world's first fully operational hub for eVTOLs, will open for public visitation in Coventry city centre in April.
The urban air mobility market is forecasted to grow nine per cent annually, reaching US$12.7 billion by 2027 and up to $1 trillion in the next 20 years.
