AIR Canada announced that it has agreed to acquire eight Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets from lessor BOC Aviation, reports Reuters.
The jets, scheduled for delivery in 2024, will undergo necessary modifications before entering service next year.
This deal comes amid strong travel demand on both domestic and international routes.
Initially, all eight aircraft will operate with a single economy class layout until they are reconfigured.
