On the morning of May 11, several explosions were reported in the Aframax crude oil tanker JAG LEELA, followed by a massive fire with black smoke. The eruptions occurred while the Tanker Malacca Strait was in the dry dock in the shipyard of northern Sumatra, Indonesia, and several workers were hospitalized with burns. An unknown number of workers are trapped inside. The fire was also reported to have spread to a nearby ship. Extinguishing operations have started with dozens of firefighters and tugboats, and it is understood that the fire still continues its violence as of May 11, UTC.
