There is a special port in the Turkish province of Bodrum, where floating palaces of oligarchs from the whole world come. The Billionaire Club, a seven-star resort center built on the Sea of Marmara, has already completely broken even. A week in the club could cost $5 million. That is how the German portal Manager-Magazin describes the mega-project of Mubariz Mansimov, an Azerbaijani oligarch, the owner of the Palmali Group.
The periodical stated that the 110-meter super yacht Radiant belonging to the Dubai billionaire Abdullah el-Futtahim came to the port of Gökova Bay in Bodrum recently. The yacht is as high as a four-storey building. The Arab sheikh paid $286 million for it. The ship is not afraid of pirate attack. It has a small submarine for exploring the sea world.
However, Radiant is not the only yacht which has come to the unusual port of Mubariz Mansimov. A yacht called Luna is a frequent visitor here. Farkhad Akhmedov, an Azerbaijani oligarch, bought it from the Russian citizen Roman Abramovich. Abramovich found the 115-meter yacht too small.
Even millionaires cannot afford to stay at Mansimov’s club. For example, Yuri Shefler, the Russian vodka king who owns the “Stolichnaya” brand, spent $5 million for a week's stay in Mansimov’s port on his yacht Serene.
Royals also visit the Azerbaijani oligarch in Turkey. The UK Prince Charles and his wife Camilla came to the Billionaire Club aboard the 75-meter yacht Leander. They paid 550 thousand euros for a week's stay.
Bodrum attracts wealthy people from all over the world not only for its natural beauty, but also its exciting night life. One of the biggest open-air night clubs in the world – Halicarnassus – is situated here. One can meet a lot of stars and world-renowned people here, while Rothschild has turned Bodrum into a traditional place for family vacations
Mubariz Mansimov’s port can welcome 70 yachts simultaneously, while the Billionaire Club has 710 apartments in hotels. Rich people can find anything they want here. World-renowned restaurants and shopping centers operate in the resort complex; while the Palmalife Marina Suite Hotel and the Palmalife Marina Boutique Hotel offer guests the most expensive rooms. Mubariz Mansimov invested about $120 million in the complex.
At the moment the Billionaire Club is expecting a special guest. The Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich plans to mark his birthday in Mansimov’s complex. His well-known yacht Eclipse has already landed on Greek shores and in the very near future it will sail to Bodrum. Eclipse is thought to be one of the most expensive yachts in the world – a 162-meter vessel which cost $1.2 billion.
