Geodis has opened its first integrated port hub in Le Havre, enhancing logistics operations at France's largest container port.
Geodis has launched its first integrated port hub in France at Le Havre, combining four logistics businesses on one platform at the country’s largest container port, reports Saint Petersburg's PortNews.
The French group stated that the hub unites distribution and express delivery, international freight forwarding by sea, air, and rail, customs operations, European road transport, and contract logistics.
The site is designed to manage cargo flows end to end, from container arrival to final delivery, aiming to reduce breaks in the supply chain and shorten processing times for import-export cargoes.
Geodis reported that it handled more than 250,000 containers at the new hub in 2025. The group employs over 800 people in the Le Havre region, with sites covering more than 200,000 square meters of logistics space, including 150,000 square meters in the bonded port zone and a 20,000-square-meter container yard for peak activity.
The hub serves customers in various sectors, including luxury goods, textiles, automotive, electronics, agri-food, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, and wines and spirits. Cargo handled ranges from raw materials and finished goods to sensitive cargo and out-of-gauge loads.
Geodis is a France-based transport and logistics group active in freight forwarding, contract logistics, road transport, distribution and express services, and supply chain management. It serves industrial, retail, and consumer-goods customers through a global network spanning Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.
Le Havre is France’s largest container port and part of the HAROPA Port complex, which groups Le Havre, Rouen, and Paris. The port handled more than 3.2 million containers in 2025 and is connected to over 700 ports worldwide.
