Vanguard opens in Yangon to run LCL worldwide service from 90 origins
VANGUARD Logistics Services says that its own full time employees are now stationed in Yangon, Myanmar to open its new office to provide worldwide logistics services to a country which has suffered years of diplomatic isolation.
Vanguard Myanmar, opened in association with Global Consolidators, is equipped with a Vanguard operations to take care of all aspects of sales, customer service and port operations. Employees at this location coordinate weekly LCL services from over 90 origins globally through Singapore to Asia World Terminal in Yangon, Myanmar, formerly known as Rangoon, Burma.
"In addition, we recently launched to serve our customers in what we expect to be a growing export market," says Jeff Lee, regional managing director-south east Asia, Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. Vanguard Myanmar employees are equipped to offer door delivery services to local consignees and strongly encourage imports from all POL [points of loading] to give their requests on quotes on door delivery, which are capabilities that enhance the company's ability to secure more shipments.Myanmar is experiencing historic political and economic changes as the international community is currently easing the economic sanctions that have isolated this country in the past.
