THE Port of valencia has approved the specifications of the new container terminal, to be part of the harbour's northern expansion, reports London's Port Technology.
This conference was convened after the port authority received the contracting authorisation from the Spanish Government on December 19.
It can now accept the specifications that will allow it to begin the process leading to the building of the new terminal.
'We have got down to work, there is not a minute to lose,' said port president Mar Chao.
The EUR660 million (US$726 million) budget of the new terminal covers dredging, quay construction and consolidated fill.
