Training in Belgium to offer tricks of the trade in project cargo business
A SPECIALLY designed training course to fast-track project forwarding management skills is to be held from May 13-14 in conjunction with Breakbulk Europe 2013 at the Antwerp Expo Centre, Belgium.
The Certificate of Achievement in project cargo management focuses on developing the skills of rising stars within the industry to provide them with the knowledge to confidently tackle increasingly complex over-dimensional and heavy-lift transportation.
Course presenter and general manager of international network Project Professionals Group, Kevin Stephens, said supporting professional training was critical to the future success of any project forwarding business and significantly reduced the risk of failure.
"This training has been designed to meet the needs of junior to mid-level multi-model project forwarders, and provides them guidance needed to thoroughly understand what the client's expectations are and to ensure these are met," Mr Stephens said.
"The course includes insights into the tricks of the trade that are quite often the secrets to success in the project cargo business."
The training also includes business communications training to improve effective writing for business, particularly tender responses. The ISO accredited course is open to all project forwarders and industry partners such as port authorities and shippers.
Investment in the two-day training is US$1,800 per person; $1,650 for two to three persons; $1,500 for four or more persons, which includes a one-day Breakbulk Europe exhibition hall pass.
