PRINCETON, NJ-based TRAC Intermodal, the big American marine chassis pool manager and equipment provider, will increase rates for TRAC Connect chassis within the South Atlantic Consolidated Chassis Pool to US$27 per diem from October 15 in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Pleading the need to cover equipment upgrades, increased operating costs and enhanced chassis availability, the TRAC announcenment said it was also making investments in chassis supply and quality.
Equipment upgrades included equipping all of its chassis in the SACP with radial OEM tyres, LED lights and ABS brakes, in compliance with the requirements, specifications and timeline of SACP 2.0.
