MSC, PIL, and Evergreen Marine unveil new services and route optimizations to boost Southeast Asia trade, enhancing connectivity from China to Indonesia.
Mediterranean Shipping Company, Pacific International Lines, and Evergreen Marine Corporation have each announced new route launches or port call optimizations targeting Southeast Asian trade lanes, with services spanning China to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. The adjustments reflect sustained regional trade activity and a broader industry drive to extend direct coverage, refine port rotation sequences, and deepen cooperative service arrangements across the Southeast Asia corridor. For freight forwarders and export enterprises, timely verification of specific voyage details, port rotations, and inaugural sailing dates remains essential for effective booking and customs planning.
MSC Launches Independent Jasmine Service Linking China, Singapore, and Indonesia
Mediterranean Shipping Company has announced the launch of Jasmine, a new independent service connecting China, Singapore, and Indonesia. The port rotation reads: Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Singapore - Surabaya - Semarang - Singapore - Shanghai. The inaugural vessel is MSC WIND II, operating voyage HF645A, with an estimated arrival in Shanghai on 4 November 2026. Operating on an independent basis, Jasmine supplements existing direct coverage between China and Indonesia, with calls at Surabaya and Semarang extending reach into Indonesia's eastern and central port markets and strengthening export pathways from China to those regions.
Pacific International Lines has announced the CSM service, a new weekly offering connecting North and South China with Singapore and Malaysian ports. The rotation covers: Tianjin - Qingdao - Xiamen - Singapore - Port Klang - Penang - Nansha - Tianjin. Evergreen Marine will participate on a slot-charter basis, operating the service under the NCX designation. The inaugural vessel is KOTA MANIS, voyage 0636S, scheduled to depart Tianjin on 28 October. Connecting Tianjin, Qingdao, Xiamen, and Nansha with Singapore, Port Klang, and Penang, the CSM/NCX service introduces a new weekly direct Southeast Asia option for cargo originating from both North and South China.
Pacific International Lines will also upgrade its North China-Indonesia NCI service, providing weekly connectivity between China, Indonesia, and Singapore, with a planned inaugural departure from Qingdao on 8 November. The revised rotation reads: Qingdao - Shanghai - Nansha - Jakarta - Surabaya - Singapore - Qingdao. Compared with the previous configuration, Tianjin and Xiamen have been removed from the rotation while Shanghai and Nansha have been added, and Singapore calls have been reduced from two to one. According to Lineritica, the upgraded NCI will be jointly operated by HMM, PIL, and RCL under the respective service designations NIS, NCI, and RCI05. The restructured rotation consolidates port coverage while enabling East and South China cargo to connect with Indonesian and Singapore services via Shanghai and Nansha.
Evergreen Marine has announced amendments to the KTP service, with the Ho Chi Minh City port call shifting from Cat Lai terminal to SPITC terminal in the eastern port area, and the Manila North Harbour call removed from the rotation. The revised sequence reads: Dalian - Tianjin - Qingdao - Xiamen - Hong Kong - Ho Chi Minh City - Laem Chabang - Qinzhou - Hong Kong - Taipei - Dalian. The first voyage under the revised rotation will be operated by EVER BASIS (voyage 0875-081S), with an estimated arrival in Dalian on 5 November. Following the terminal change at Ho Chi Minh City, customs clearance and inland connection arrangements should be confirmed against actual terminal operations; cargo previously routed via Manila North Harbour will require routing reassessment.
Shippers and freight forwarding enterprises are advised to monitor inaugural sailing dates, port rotation sequences, and schedule changes across these services closely, and to plan cargo movement and customs filing arrangements accordingly. For newly launched services, confirmation of booking availability, cargo cut-off times, and destination port operational requirements should be obtained in advance. For services with amended rotations, each shipment should be individually verified against updated origin port, destination port, and transshipment connection details to prevent delivery delays arising from rotation changes. Carriers' subsequent schedule publications and capacity policies should be tracked, with route selection calibrated to cargo type and delivery timelines.
