FREIGHTER operator Magma Aviation has promoted tom Helyar to chief strategy officer, reports London's Air Cargo News.
Mr Helyar joined Magma Aviation in 2011 as financial controller and climbed the ranks to commercial manager and then general manager in 2015.
In his new role, he will 'take a more in-depth strategic position within the business, primarily focussed on strategic leadership and operations'.
Mr Helyar commented: 'The past 10 years has been both challenging and rewarding, and I am grateful that I have experienced the transitions that Magma Aviation has gone through.
'Being part of the incredible team at Magma Aviation gives me a great feeling of pride. The phenomenal growth the business has seen over the last few years is very rewarding and makes the hard work from myself and the team well worth it.
'When I joined Magma Aviation, I was the seventh employee, now we employ 50 people and are continuing with our expansion.'
