RUSSIA's Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group has called for tenders on developing a new container terminal in the Black Sea harbour, reports St Petersburg's SeaNews.
The contractor will have to conduct a feasibility study of federal, municipal and private investment into the construction of a specialised container terminal at Novorossiysk.
It is suggested that the new terminal would cover a territory of about 53.2 hectares (131 acres) and have an annual capacity of one million TEU including 630,000 TEU of laden containers, 270,000 TEU of empties and 100,000 TEU of reefer containers.
The infrastructure will include four cargo berths capable of accommodating postpanamax vessels of 10,000 TEU.
